Board Meeting ~ March 21, 2019

Attending: Ann Moorehead, Shon Allen, Keith Johnson, Rob Burton and Lynne Williams
Excused: Bruce Lyman

The meeting was called to order at 7:07pm

OLD BUSINESS:

1.  STREET LIGHTS:
Keith reported that the electrician came and of the 5 lights that were out, 4 are now working.  The community looks so nice with the new lights.  The fifth light will be attended to soon.

2.  INSURANCE PAYMENT:
Keith contacted the insurance company AGAIN.  We are waiting to receive money for a street light that was knocked down months ago by a visitor.  Keith spoke to a supervisor who said the check will be prepared this week.

3.  RESERVE ANALYSIS:
Postponed until next month

4.  CONCRETE REPAIRS:
Concrete resurfacing on our worst driveways is set for April 22nd (weather permitting) and those affected will be notified.  We need to get some more barriers to keep people off the driveways.

5.  UNUSUAL PARKING REQUEST:
A resident is having a guest here from China for 2 months and they have a car that needs parking accommodations.  It was voted (4 to 1) that we would allow the guest to park in guest parking the whole time with no charges.  The last month must be in the guest parking by the pavilion.

6.  BACK DOOR PAINTING:
Rob will get quotes in the next couple of weeks.  All of Wyngate Pointe needs to be painted this summer.

7.  COMCAST CONTRACT:
Our new 5 year contract with Comcast will be finalized by Shon.  Comcast has agreed to give us free Showtime to entice our business.

8.  ANNUAL MEETING:
Lynne will get out the Spring Newsletter, absentee ballots, A-frame notifications and other miscellaneous items that need to be done.  A date of May 23rd was set but this is just before Memorial Day and may be changed.

9.  PARKING PROBLEMS:
Our parking problems were again discussed at length.  As a Board, we can not agree on what to do with habitual offenders.  Do we need to have the CC&R’s rewritten stating the consequences (towing) of these offenders?  Should this be handled in our Rules?  This will continue again next month.

NEW BUSINESS:

1.  LANDSCAPING:
Lawn aeration started on March 21st.  We have been notified that our mowing day will be every FRIDAY.  Any locks on the gate must be removed to allow the mowers into the yard.  Please keep all dogs in during the day as the gates may be left open until the landscapers leave for the day.

Next meeting- Thursday, April 18th.

Meeting adjourned at 8:37pm

Respectfully submitted,

Lynne Williams
Wyngate Commons HOA secretary
